Hello, i am trying to find out info on my ggggrandpa nd his brother...they joined the 2nd mississippi infantry co.l 3-3-1862, Richard and Adam Stalnaker, Richard died in 9-1862 in Richmond Va...i have found papers that Adam was furloughed for this but never returned, listed as a deserter, but i found records indicating he was captured by union in Florence Ala, transferred to Memphis, then to Alton..exchanged and eneded up dying in Petersburg hospital of disease, Ricjard also died of disease..My & i can not find any burial record for either of them, if anyone can give me any info on these 2 please help.thanks so much
