Gloria,I'm not sure I can help.He would of been 59 so he didn't have to join up.That doesn't mean he didn't. My GGGrandfather was born in 1811 and lied about his age and served in two seperate regiments.I would post on the ALA. board.I am not familier with the below regiments as far as muster location or regimental histories. It might be he went home to N.C. or a MS. regiment.Alan at the ALA. site could help as he has access to Compiled Military Service Records to rule any of these men out or in.Sorry I can't be of more help.Michael P.Elliott
