Terry, my research thus far, suggests that the official table of organization for CS land or sea forces was identical to US except for the position of Chaplain. None was required at any level in CS Service whereas in US service it was required at the battalion level in the US Army. I have found no evidence to suggest that that relegion was anyway supressed or discouraged in the Confederacy.
