I have neglected to mention that I am also collecting all data on Union Navy officers and enlisted men, and, although this database is currently offline, it will, at some future date (a long while yet!), be uploaded on the Internet. The reason for this is that I have only completed about five percent or less of this particular database. The Union Navy consisted of about nine or ten times the number of personnel who served in the Confederate Navy, so it is far more time consuming to compile data in this area, but any information on your Union Navy ancestor is most welcome, especially biographical data.
