Dear Steve,

Got that guys name wrong and who he worked for during the war. It was Frank H. Schell and he worked for "Leslie's". Some of his works include:

"Porter's Flotilla Starting up the Red River"(from an eyewitness sketch by Henry N. Walke)

"March of the Federal 19th Corps to Port Hudson" (his original sketch done in March, 1863)

"Harrison's Landing" (his original sketch done in July, 1862)

"Fort Powell, Mobile Bay" (from an eyewitness sketch by E.B. Hough)

"Confederate Gunboat, Bayou Teche" (painted from an eyewitness sketch by Schell)

"Ironclads at Fort Pillow (after an eyewitness sketch by Henry N. Walke)

"Attacking Confederate Batteries at Watson's Landing [on the Mississippi River]" (from an eyewitness sketch by Henry N. Walke)

and quite a few others.
