I have acopy of the 1985 study on the two ships. I also have the captians remarks of the sinking. I have been studying the Tuscaloosa for some time now and have started action to recover the CSS Tuscaloosa and bring it to Tuscaloosa.I went before the Tuscaloosa city council 2 weeks ago and they voted to spend there part of the money for a grant to do a new study and present plans for recovery. Captians report said orders to scutle were carried out swiftly and had no time to remove anything from the ship execept 105 crew members and a few of thier personal effects.
