I'm looking for details of the actions of January 11, 1861 (two days after the Star of the West was fired upon at Charleston) against the steamer A. O. Tyler (later to be the USS Tyler). I need to now where she was fird upon, and who fired at her. My guess is that it was Mississippi troops near Vicksburg.
