I don't know about the yard by the creek you mentioned, but there is indeed a small creek emptying into the Alabama River there near the new amphitheatre they built along the river, near where the tunnel goes up under the tracks down to where the little park is, the riverboat, etc. There is a RR bridge over that creek right there also for the railroad that goes through. I saw an arial pic of it all the other day in a doctor's office waiting room in a City of Montgomery promotional advertisement type magazine.
