Re: IMAGE OF TINCLAD USS PETREL (#5)..???

I'm intertested in the Petrel, I have a couple of old letters from the CW that were given to me by a neighbor many years ago --the first one; a from a fellow named William Waggoner written to his sister and he makes some comments about going up the Yazoo and burning some boats that the rebels had hidden up there, the rebels had "skedaddled back to Vicksburg" --the second a letter from the exec of the Petrel to Waggoner's family informing them of his death from intermittent fever, surrounded by his shipmates, and his burial at sea, in the Missippi River, -a headboard bearing his name was sunk at the spot.
