I am a native of Mobile, Alabama. My earliest and favorite memories are standing at the foot of Admiral Raphael Semmes' statue on Government Street near the Bankhead Tunnel.

I have a book, you may have it "Confederate Mobile, by Caldwell Delaney, 1971; which is basically a photographic collection of the holdings of the Mobile Museum. In this book are the photographic copies of letters written by Raphael Semmes and many many images (woodcuts) of the CSS Alabama. I enjoy looking at these and seeing his actual words.

What you are doing is very much appreciated. Don't give up!
