As an old, and I do mean old, Artillery reenactor, this site is exciting for me as well.

I hope and believe the new Civil War Artillery Message Board at http://history-sites.net/mb/cw/cwartmb/ will become one of our most popular and scholarly sites. Even for those without a specific interest in "the Long Arm" you might want to drop by as this site grows to see the level of interest and expertise that exists for this subject.

I'll be doing some promotion myself for this new site, but for those of you who are artillery aficionados and experts, please help me make others aware of this new site.
