Mark, because the CSS TUSCALOOSA was launched in Alabama, it might pay to contact the Alabama Department of Archives and History about data on her crew members. Most of the records of the CS Navy were destroyed at the evacuation of Richmond in 1865, so it is quite difficult, but not altogether impossible, to piece together biographical data on personnel. As well, many CSN personnel also served within the ranks of the CS Army, so there is a possibility that some data may be available on McGlennon, if he also saw service in the Army.
