I am part of a group that has been trying, for the past 3 years, to stage a reenactment of the surrender of the CSS Shenandoah. Our problem has been finding a venue, what we are looking for is a tall ship that closely resembles the Shenandoah;however, anything that floats, has sails, and enough deck space for about a dozen or so reenactors will do. The first ship we engaged sank at its dock in Liverpool, the second and third backed out - we suspect for reasons of "political correctness." We would prefer a ship in the US, but would consider the UK or somewhere else in Europe. Any suggestions would be welcome.
