Hello Greg,

This is undoubtedly a USQM chartered vessel. I don't have those references at hand but I can tell you this. According to Lytle the Q. Lloyd was built in Grandview, IN during 1860. She was first registered in Louisville that year. She is listed as a small sidewheel steamer being only 51 tons. Reportedly she was abandoned or off the registered lists by 1868. I did not find any notices regarding her in the Louisville papers. This is not surprising considering where she was built and her size. That's all I have at the present. Further details can probably be found in the Louisville Ship Registers and Enrollments (NA RG 41).

All the best,
Bil
