I have finally been able to determine the place and date of death of James Cunningham Blacker, who served as captain's clerk aboard the CSS SHENANDOAH, thanks to extensive searches. He obviously returned to Australia after leaving the SHENANDOAH, but his death occured elsewhere. He operated, prior to joining the SHENANDOAH, extensively in Australian and New Zealand waters, and was indicated to have resided for a short period, in the city of Geelong, near Melbourne. I do believe that many genuine researchers will be very happy about this much sought after data.
