The C.S. Navy at the Battle of Selma.

To all,

Do any of you know where i could find information on the Confederate Navy's role in the Battle of Selma, AL in April of 1865? I'm trying to find out if there were any enlisted sailors fighting on the walls outside the city during the battle. There must have been some sailors, there had to have been. The Naval foundery and arsenal were in some cases, just yards away from the entrenchments! I have found two instances of naval officers being sent off as "aides" to different commands during the battle, one being killed the other one was captured. I have even found three U.S. Naval officers who were present, one being on Upton's staff.

sinc,

Ethan Gallo
