I was looking for any info on a relative, George Mitchell Lane, who served as a private in Co.A, CSMC.

He was born in Wilkes County, Georgia, March 2, 1828, son of a Baptist Clergyman, Micajah Lane.

After the war he became a practicing physician in Lincoln County, Georgia, Died April 12, 1911.

Buried in Double Branches Church Cemetery, Lincoln County, Georgia.

I'm curious as where to Co.A served at during the war, and if George was ever served at sea. Any ifo would be welcome.
