It is a newsletter from the Oregon SCV dated September 2006. They feature a small article on the Oregon and have included a pic of what looks to me like a painting that is noted as being the CSS Oregon. It looks to me to match the description I have seen of the Oregon but perhaps you or someone else could look it over and render a verdict as to a possible match. I am trying to contact the Oregon SCV to ask what the source of the image is but so far my emails have not been returned.

As I am sure you know, the Oregon was sunk in the Tchefuncte River. Did the ship actually block any possible Union attempt to approach Camp Moore from the north side of the lake? I know it was indeed a navigational hazard and was thus raised in 1872. It would be a nice footnote to the Oregon's history to know she did her part even while lying on the bottom of the river.
