Re: CSS Tennessee crew roster
In Response To: Re: CSS Tennessee crew roster ()

In a report, dated at Pendleton, S.C., August 13, 1863 (ORN 1, 18, page 337) lieutenant A.F. Warley, lately commanding the CSS MANASSAS, states, in part, in relation to the participation of the MANASSAS in the action below New Orleans: "I have lost the first vessel intrusted to my command by the Government (thank God, I lost none of my officers or crew)." Thus, it would seem that no one was lost from that ironclad. I looked through other reports in the same volume, but could find no indication that there were any casualties aboard the MANASSAS during the action.
Hope this helps.
