The following entry from page 377 of the volume THE CONFEDERACY: A GUIDE TO THE ARCHIVES OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CSA, published by the National Archives refers:
Little Rock Naval Station: During 1862-63 repairs were made on the steamer PONTCHARTRAIN at this station. This vessel was burned on the White River in Oct., 1863 to prevent its capture.
The commandant was Lt. John W. Dunnington.
