Years ago "CiviL Wat Times Illustrated" magazine had a article on how three photographs of the crew of the USS Kearsarge had been preserved and also hinted that another
photograph of the CSS ALabama had been taken while she sank {unlocated}. Considering the fact that few if any Civil War Photographs showed "action under fire" for example in the F. Miller "Photographic History of the Civil War" showing an three alleged "under Fire" prints-one of the town of Vicksburg, a shell explosing inside Ft. Sumpter, and one of three Monitors firing at Ft Sumpter could this alleged "CSS Alabama" Photograph have been a photograghic print of a painting of the CSS Alabama sinking?
