Thanks for the news, Kenneth. Yes, please post an update here regarding ceremony as the appointed time for same is determined.

I spent a chunk of last year researching MG John King Jackson, much of which dealt with the holdings in the Jackson-McKinne papers. Several of the orders issued by Jackson dealt with the transfer of enlisted men of Mississippi to Griffith's command. This when all were in the Corinth area. I believe it might have been a family thing, or bonds formed when the Griffith's were in Mississippi. At least I have some sense of the basis for the requests to transfer now.
