Hey you Rattler fans. I found some of your crew here in Virginia.

Thomas Brown, Frederick Plump, and Oloff Nelson, of the Rattler crew are buried here in Danville, Virginia where they were prisoners. All three died of disease. Others from the gunboat held here were Arthur Rodgerson, Arthur Rodgerson, Walter Keef, and Maurice Ivory.

When the prisons in Richmond, Virginia became crowded, many of the prisoners of war were sent to Danville on the Richmond and Danville Railroad to be confined in tobacco factories.
