Dobbin's 1st AR Cavalry, 5th AR Infantry

My great-grandfather, Samuel Witherspoon Liddell served in both Dobbin's 1st AR Cavalry, Co. F, and the 5th AR Infantry. In an old letter written in the 1950's it states that my Samuel entered the confederate army at the beginning of the war at Languile and mustered out at the end of the war at Wittsburg.
Also, online I came across him listed on a "Muster and Descriptive Roll of prisoners of war belonging to the Army of the Northern Sub-District of Arkansas, and surrendered on the 11th day of May, 1865, ....." It states the he was paroled at Wittsburg, AR on May 25, 1865 and states that he enlisted at Languille.
I am not from Arkansas, and the only Languile I find is a river. Where was Languille and Wittsburg?
Does the muster roll mean that he was a prisoner of war?
How or where can I find out more about this. I ordered his records several years ago and there was only a page or two, nothing about this.
I appreciate anyone's help!
