Butch, my first ancestor in this country was Huguenot minister Rev. Pierre Robert. Some of his sons again started putting the "S" at the end of the spelling of the name when they came to South Carolina, some did not. That explains the connection between the Roberts/Robert family. Who knows, this person may be distant kin. Wouldn't that be a kick in the head!

I have also learned that General Archibald Gracie's son survived the Titanic. Evidently he too was a person of some importance.

Old cemeteries are a real treasure trove of stories.
