There are also some drawings of the ship by eyewitnesses in my Battle on the Bay and Southern Journey of a Civil War Marine books.As for the large gun, after it burst there was no other large gun onboard and the plan reverted to attempting to ram the Union vessels. As you know, it was successful in this mission and ultimately captured the USS Harriet Lane.
