145th Anniversary

Hello- I haven't seen one iota of mention on the news this morning of the anniversary of the attempted reinforcement of Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor by Federal naval forces on April 12;13, 1861.
This act is considered by most to be the beginning of the armed conflict know as the United States Civil War or The War of the Rebellion. Personally, I consider the act of Col. Ellsworth's entering a place of residence in Alexandria, Va., armed and in uniform, the act that put the word "Civil" in the altercation. This occured after the Virginia Secession Ordinance passed by popular vote of three to one.
