David, thanks for your input, now and before. I have to admit to being thoroughly confused by the naming system of Louisiana plantations.
I have seen examples of duplicate names, for example, L'Hermitage--both in Darrow and in the Morganza area. It also doesn't help matters that some planter families owned several plantations. Families like the Bringier and Tureaud for example.
I have seen conflicting reports stating the BGen James Trudeau was paroled to his wife's family plantation (Houmas) and also at White House, which may be a corruption of White Hall.
