I am looking for information on a torpedo boat that was launched as the CSS "Viper" just prior to the fall of the Columbus Navy yard in Georgia.
Apparently the vessel (class unknown) escaped downriver as the Union forces closed in. I am seeking any leads or info on the crew, class, dimensions, and whether the vessel had a torpedo installed when she sailed?

Yes, I did check the DANFS listing, but was unable to locate anything between "Victoria" and "Virginia", so it could be the vessel wasnt actually on the inventory at the time, has anyone any info please?
