Recruiting for a new reenactment Artillery Battery

Robinson's Battery, a new reenactment artillery battery in Michigan, is accepting "volunteers" (members-Military and/or civilian, Family friendly) to join up.

This Battery is named in honor of George Robinson of Detroit who served as it's Captian for most of the war.
Also known as Battery C, First Michigan Light Artillery.

Robinson's Battery served in the western theater (attatched to Gen. Fuller's Ohio Brigade) of the war, and was engaged in support of Battery Robinett at Corinth, MS. was on Gen. Grant's central Mississippi campaign. Garrisoned Memphis,Tn. Was on duty at Prospect, Tn. On the Atlanta campaign, firing in action at Kennesaw Mt.and Sandstone Ferry. Was engaged at Decatur,Ga.
The Battery was also selected to be on the "March to the Sea" and was engaged near Savannah, Ga. Also was on the Carolinas campaign and was in action near Cheraw, SC., was in support at Bentonville, NC. Participated in the Grand Review at Washington DC.

The Robinson's Battery is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. Donations are tax deductable.
