I would suggest reading General Bate's Battle Report for the Battle of Nashville. There are a couple of reference's to Beauregard's Battery on Shy's Hill. http://www.civilwarhome.com/batenash.html

After Nashville, I have the following locations for Beauregard's Battery - Tupelo, MS; Columbus, MS; Dempolis, AL (January 25th, 1865); Selma, AL; Columbus, GA; Macon, GA (February 5th, 1865); Milledgeville, GA; Augusta, GA; Charlotte, NC (early April, 1865) and finally Salisbury, NC. I would have to go back to notes for reference specifics.

For their capture at Salisbury, NC, I would recommend Chris Hartley's "Stoneman's Raid 1865"

Another topic - Noticed your last name of Melvin and you have a North Carolina area code. Do you have any ancestral connections to the Melvins from Cumberland County, NC?
