I read a message on this board, or on a website, neither of which I can now find, that Major General Sterling Price obtained a battery of four of the Williams Guns in Memphis in 1863. Can anyone help me? I would like to know about when the guns were obtained, and whether they were drawn from the Ordnance Dept or purchased. Any and all help will be appreciated.
