There is no new information concerning these guns. Their value is based on the fact that they are rare, only six made in 1862. Only three have been located. The fact that two are were captured in Tennessee by the confederates does not mean that these are the two at Chick-Chatt National Battlefield Park. After the war, with a large surplus of now antiquated cannon, many were melted down for the metal, or stored in govt, locations. Many were moved around to reach their storage depots. One of the storage facilities used by the Govt. was Ford Theater in Washington D c .
