My gggrandfather was a member of Cobb's Battery of the Orphan Brigade (1st Kentucky Brigade) CSA.
I have been trying to read everything I can get my hands on about them and have visited several of the battlefields they fought at throughout the war. I would be interested in any letters or personal accounts that any of the other decendants of members might have access to.
I have what I believe is a fairly complete roster of the battery that I put together from information in the Ky Ajutant General's Report, the Civil War Soldier and Sailor System and from the service records of the battery from the Ky State Archives.
The picture below is from Geoff Walden's excellent site on the Orphan Brigade. The little thin man in the middle of the picture is my gggrandfather Francis Marion Wadlington.
