Norm,
I spoke with Dr. Vecchioni earlier this afternoon. I just wanted to let him know that I had e-mailed Ben Miller of Miller Wagons and Cannons near Knoxville, TN; Marshall Steen at Steen Cannons in Ashland, KY; Larry Fischer of Larry Fischer Primers in Knoxville, PA; and the Command Staff of the First Division, ANV (over 5000 reenactors strong) about this most recent incident. I copied and pasted John's original post in my e-mail so that there were no questions as to the seriousness and depth of this crime. Rest assured that my e-mail to my commanders in the ANV was instantly sent to every unit commander in our organization. I can only hope that this might help in the recovery of any or all of Battery B's equipment and ordnance. Good luck with this serious loss and know that Southern reenactors have a keen eye open for anything that might come up "for sale". We might all embrace our blue or grey but we cannoneers are all RED.
