Impossible to tell where this cannon served. If records were kept indicating where cannopn were assigned, they no longer exist. I have not seen any such record except in a few, very rare individual cases. I can tell you that this gun was in a group of 92 ordered by the Ordnance Department and the entire group was delivered by February 28th, 1862. The inspector of the gun was Theodore Thadeus Sobieski Laidley, initials of TTSL which appears on the muzzle of the gun. Presently, the gun is out of Carey OH in hands of reenactors, as you probably know.
