My ggggrandfather Robert Owen was the bugler for this battery. I also had up to eight gggg uncles in the unit, from the Owen, Watts, and Potts families.

I have been researching the unit, and various other regiments, for a family history I am compiling. The battery was ordered east early in the war, but until Petersburg it was not a part of the Army of Northern Virginia, instead being stationed in North Carolina and southern Virginia.

I have read Lt. Patrick Hoy's memoirs of the battery. I am curious as to whether there is anyone else interested in this unit, or has any information concerning it.
