There is a shell posted on eBay that is identified as an "Ellsworth Shell." I don't know anything about artillery shells, but I do know about Col Ellsworth. I'm interested to learn more about the history behind such shells and if, in fact, they are named after Elmer Ellsworth. Thanks.
