It would be good if you could verify that 12pdr's were what that battery used, but if those record are not available, then a general resource is the Ordnance Manual of either army, and I think the US Ordnance Manual may be available online (but I'm not sure about that). That way, you could answer questions about other types of CW Artillery, too.
