i had a friend who was deep in the woods of st. francisville,la hunting arrowheads. came across several shells. need help iding. the shell is bullit shaped, with pointed end. several inched down the shell from the pointed end, is a one inch band with slanted grooves? on it. down near the botton is a 2 inch brass, or copper band with slanted grooves in it. below that is at least one ring cut into the shell. on the very bottom is where i believe the fuse would be. the shell weighs about 25 pounds. anyone got any ideas? carried only two because of the weight.
